This year, Westport Academy partnered with the PSC to hire a Community School Coordinator to further support the Westport community. The Community School Coordinator developed partnerships with multiple agencies in efforts to enhance family engagement and increase access to resources. One of these partnerships was with the mental health service provider Parker Psychiatric Services. Through this partnership, a pilot mental wellness program for Westport Academy students and families was developed. Westport Academy is continuing to identify and implement innovative ways to increase student achievement and support those within the community.
