Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) model

The format behind Improvement Science to implement for use in schools and other settings. PDSA provides schools with a formalized structure to design, assess, and revise small tests of change. Our goal is to make each step small, strategic, and significant so that change is manageable and responsive to student and staff feedback. Click here for more information.


Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS)

A national proactive model of behavior management implemented schoolwide, in classroom and non-classroom settings. According to the website, “Tier 1 (universal), Tier 2 (targeted group), and Tier 3 (individual) systems of support improve lifestyle results (personal, health, social, family, work, recreation) for all children and youth by making targeted behaviors less effective, efficient, and relevant, and desired behavior more functional.” Click here for more information.


Social Work Community Outreach Service (SWCOS)

The PSC is part of SWCOS. SWCOS provides support, leadership and accountability for the PSC. SWCOS’s mission is to advance social justice through mutually transformative community-university partnerships. The vision of SWCOS is that all communities will be equitable and promote well-being, self-determination, individual, and collective power.
