Every group of students, families, and communities have skills and resources that are essential for their school’s success. Using collaborative decision-making and constant community conversations, schools should be inclusive of all three voices in making decisions. They bring together people and organizations to create spaces that are supportive of learning, engaging community members, and responsive to the individualized experiences of each. Schools must see themselves as an active part of the community at large.
