Ako (Changa) Onyango

The focus on race, equity, and restorative practices are what pulled me in.

As a Senior Facilitator for the last 10 years, I bring a communications skills-based approach and an inclusive model to my coaching. I also add my African-American Baltimorean perspective to the conversation. My favorite part of the PSC is its ability to weave a variety of voices into the narrative.

Graciella Drew aka Chella

The PSC’s vision for creating positive, supportive, and mindful communities in our schools and workplaces is what pulled me in.

My coaching style is transformational - a combination of performance and holistic approaches. I have a true passion and enthusiasm for the power of relationships and know that when people are able to recognize and acknowledge the beauty of each other’s humanity (which comes alive through storytelling), we can not only impact our individual communities but ultimately change this world for the better.

My favorite part about being a PSC coach is being able to work with schools that are fully committed to creating positive change in their communities.

The balanced honoring of healing, social justice, and wisdom of the community is what pulled me in.

I bring a heart-centered, liberation-focused, collaborative, community-rooted approach to coaching for the PSC. The team of amazing coaches who are truly committed to transformation, as well as the ability to support the powerful work of Baltimore educators, are my two favorite parts of joining the team.

What draws me into The PSC’s mission is that they focus on positively developing the whole person (academically, professionally, socially, and emotionally). This mimics Victorious Attitudes For Everyday Life (VAEL’s) mission to educate, empower, and enrich the lives of children, youth, and adults through high-quality educational programs, workshops, and resources. As a change agent for positive thinking, VAEL serves as a catalyst to foster positive holistic changes in individuals’ personal, academic, professional, and social lives.

I try to use situational coaching based on the needs of my client. However, I naturally favor holistic and solution-focused coaching styles. My strength and my purpose in life are to educate, motivate, and empower people to live their Best Lives NOW!

I believe that my sessions on, Permission for Selfcare, adds to the focus on health and safety as well as trauma-responsive educational practices. I have over 22 years of coaching experience and 25 plus years of motivational speaking both nationally and internationally.
